There's something about winter weather that brings out cozy and unique cocktails. When someone asked me if I had a coffee old fashioned, I first thought I like a really strong coffee so that will be intense. Then I remembered, it's an old fashioned and that's the point! So here is my version with a little help from an espresso roast cold brew. This one is for the coffee lovers!

A Bitter Woman
Coffee Old Fashioned

Ingredients
2 oz Bourbon
2 oz Cold Brew Coffee (I went with an espresso dark roast)
1 oz Vanilla Extract (I love a little vanilla in my coffee)
1 oz Brown or White Sugar Cube
Three dashes of Aromatic Bitters
Garnish: Orange Peel

Recipe
In an old fashioned glass, muddle a sugar cube with aromatic bitters. Break up the cube so it covers the base of the glass. Use the orange peel to rim the glass with orange oils. In a mixing glass, pour bourbon, coffee, and vanilla. Stir quickly. Strain into the old fashioned glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with the orange peel.

Sip gloriously! This is an easy drink and great for an after dinner drink or something to enjoy before dinner. A drink that is strong and easy. We all love that.
