St Patrick's Day: Irish You Like It with a little Jameson

This Jameson old fashioned is a great cocktail for a nice St Patrick's day happy hour. I love the orange and whiskey combination. I love whiskey and orange. It's my go to! So this cocktail is right up my alley. I'm not the biggest fan of this holiday. Personally not a big fan of the association with religion and heavy drinking. Also the irish in me is not the biggest fan of religious issues that ensued post christianity being brought to Ireland. I would love Ireland to get back to a whole country and whole heart.

Irish Whiskey Cocktail

Ingredients

2 oz Jameson Whiskey

1 oz Orange Liqueur

1 oz Orange Juice

4 dashes of Angostura Bitters

1 Brown Sugar cube

Garnish: Orange Peel

Recipe

In a cocktail mixing glass, pour whiskey, orange liqueur, and orange juice. In an old fashioned glass muddle sugar cube and angostura bitters. Stir the contents of the mixing glass. Add a large ice cube to the old fashioned glass. Rim the glass with the orange peel. Pour from the mixing glass.
