A holiday weekend calls for a summer drink and easy cocktails. Typically I stick to the bubbly drinks but this weekend I tried something new. I saw this on Instagram and decided to try my own version since I like all the ingredients. I created a spicy rose margarita which you can replicate for your next bash or just chilling at home drink. I like that you can make two with this recipe and can easily increase it. The pitcher drinks definitely help.

Spicy Rose Margarita

Ingredients
3 oz Tequila
3 oz Simple Syrup
3 oz Rose
5 to 6 slices of jalepeno (know your spice tolerance and how spicy your pepper is)
Garnish: Salt rim
Optional: Top off with Topo Chico Mineral Water

Recipe
In a pitcher, pour all ingredients. Stir Together. Strain when you pour into a rocks glass with ice. Highly recommend a salt rim. It will help to make the tequila and the spice feel balanced out. Optional is to top with topo chico or sparkling water. I like to do this because I like to lighten my drinks (especially in the summer and with the heat).
