Last Minute Party Cocktail: Spiced Old Fashioned

There's always that one surprise during the holidays and winter season. This cocktail is my in case of emergency cocktail. It comes in helpful when you have a sudden guest, forget that you need something, or just need a cocktail. It's quick and easy. Plus it's delicious. This bourbon old fashioned adds the perfect amount of flavor and works with any snack you are enjoying. It's a great fall cocktail!

She's a Little Spiced

Bourbon Old Fashioned

Ingredients

2 oz Bourbon

1 oz All Spice Dram

Four Dashes of Angostura Bitters

1 oz Orange juice

Three dashes of Ground Cinnamon

1 Brown Sugar Cube

Garnish: Apple Slice

Recipe: In an old-fashioned glass, muddle a brown sugar cube and bitters. For added orange flavor, muddle an orange slice too. In a mixing glass, pour bourbon, all spice dram, and orange juice. Dash some cinnamon in it. Stir quickly. Add a large ice cube into the old fashioned glass. Pour from the mixing glass over the ice. This cocktail is simple while being elevated. I like that it tastes like fall but also doesn't overpower! This cocktail is a definite go to and can work perfectly if you are having a pre or post cocktail hour on thanksgiving. It doesn't require a snack. I prefer to sip it while eating an apple or something light but that's me.
