Frozen Rose for the Summer Heat

This Fourth of July weekend calls for something to sip on and cool off with. This rose spritz is a perfect place to start.

Frozen in Heat

Froze

Ingredients

Half a bottle of Rose

fifteen Watermelon Ice Cubes

2 oz Lemon Juice

1 oz Simple Syrup

Nine Mint leaves

Garnish: Mint Leaves

Watermelon ice cubes are kind of genius. You chop up pieces of watermelon (sort of small cubes) and then put them in a freezer bag. Lay them out flat in the freezer. Try to keep them broken up so that it doesn't become one giant watermelon piece. You leave the watermelon overnight or longer and they become ice cubes. It's a sweet little treat whether you are making froze or want to make a frozen lemonade.

Recipe: In a blender, place watermelon cubes. Pour lemon juice, simple syrup, and rose. Add in mint leaves. Blend for about a minute. You want to get that slushie look but understand that the more frozen it is, the longer it will take to melt.
