Champagne but No Pain

The Day after Thanksgiving is the biggest hangover. This day is where you are still full and a little tired. This champagne cocktail is perfect for a lazy day where maybe you are online shopping or maybe you are relaxing and resting. This Pink Peppercorn version of a French 75 is a perfect sipping cocktail that you can make and enjoy as you chill.

Peppery and Pink

Champagne Cocktail

Ingredients

Top with Brut Champagne

1 oz Gin

1/2 oz Lemon Juice

1/2 oz Simple syrup

A teaspoon of Crushed pink peppercorns

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker, muddle pink peppercorns and simple syrup. You want to crush them lightly so the peppercorns open up but don't break completely into little pieces. Add ice then lemon juice and gin. Shake until cold and pour into a flute glass. Top with champagne.

Two Trains of Thought: You can double strain from the cocktail shaker and remove the peppercorns from entering the glass or you can leave them like me. I personally like the pepper notes so it's my vibe to leave them in. However, if you want just the hint, you should double strain and not have the pepper overwhelm your nose while you drink.
