Blood Orange Bodies: Whiskey Cocktail with a little sweetness

This Wednesday I want to feature one of my favorite flavors: blood orange. I love the sweet and citrusy taste and the beautiful color that you can get from this orange. It's a gorgeous orange to play with and have some fun.

Whiskey Cocktail

Ingredients

2 oz Whiskey

1 oz Orange Liqueur

1/2 oz Allspice Dram

1 oz Blood Orange Juice

1 oz Lemon Juice

1/2 oz Simple Syrup

Garnish: Blood Orange Peel

Recipe

In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour all ingredients. I would start with liqueur and then go juice. I like to work that way so I never forget anything. Close and shake until cold to the touch. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a blood orange peel.
