Wood that Woodford be Reserved

I recently got my first Woodford Reserve bottle of bourbon. It's something that I've always wanted to try. I had a boss who used to end his shift with a glass of Woodford Reserve neat. I personally don't like my bourbon neat (I think alcohol should be cold unless it's a hot toddy). I do always taste bourbon neat to get the notes of the bourbon. When I tried Woodford Reserve: I got notes of Maple, woodiness, and caramel. It felt very smooth and is an easy sip. I know understand why my former boss loves it so much.

After tasting, I came up with a few ideas for cocktails. I take cocktail making as an inspiration and then execution. I come up with a few basic bourbon cocktails and then think about how I can elevate that bourbon with flavors. Here I have created an afternoon cocktail, a dinner/happy hour cocktail, and an after dinner cocktail.
