Whenever I talk to someone who doesn't drink whiskey, they always share the reason and the memory it evokes. Whether it was a bad time at college or a bad relationship, whiskey tends to lean itself to memories. I also have an affection for certain whiskeys because of my history and experiences. That's why I like it. Reminds me of them.

Whiskey Memories
Whiskey Cocktail

Ingredients
2 oz Whiskey
1 oz Orange (about half an orange)
1 oz Orange Liqueur
6 Mint Leaves (muddled)
1 sugar cube
Garnish: Mint leaves
It's a little complicated but whiskey cocktails need a few ingredients and a little work to be really delightful.

Recipe
In a cocktail shaker, muddle mint leaves. In an old fashioned glass, muddle a sugar cube with a slice of an orange (split an orange in half and use the circle to create a slice). In the cocktail shaker, add whiskey, orange juice, and orange liqueur. Stir quickly. In the old fashioned glass, place a large ice cube. Pour from the cocktail shaker. Garnish with mint leaves. Enjoy with those perfect whiskey sips.
