What's Monday without a Martini?

I love a martini Monday. There is nothing quite like a strong drink after a long day. Martinis are perfect after work because they are usually simple, strong, and easy to decide upon. Everyone should have a martini order. This week I'm sharing my favorite classic martini order that's perfect for when you want to impress someone with a strong drink and also don't want to overcomplicate it. The Vesper Martini not only sounds like it comes out of a James Bond movie but it also hits that sweet spot of a strong cocktail and not something that immediately puts you out on the couch.

Ingredients

2 oz Vodka or Gin

1/2 oz Lillet Blanc

1/2 oz Lemon Juice

Garnish: Lemon Twist, Cocktail Onion, or Olive

Recipe: In a very cold cocktail shaker with ice, pour all ingredients. Shake it like it's a shake weight. Then pour into your martini glass. Highly suggest chilling the glass and offering a salty snack. This cocktail is simple and perfect when you have a day that just calls for a martini which if you are me, is like every Monday.
