This past weekend I went out down to Raleigh. It was my first time and really fun! I liked almost everywhere I picked but there were two standouts in the cocktail department: The Willard and Whiskey Kitchen. First up is the Willard.

I do love a rooftop bar at a hotel. It's always fun to see a city from above and get to have a cocktail. It makes you feel fancy!

I of course started with a whiskey cocktail. I loved the mix of mint and whiskey. I didn't love carrying this cocktail to the spot outside. It definitely takes careful steps. Go slow and don't lose your drink!

This margarita is classic and easy to drink! The salt rim is peak for sure.

Classic whiskey old fashioned. Only thing I will warn you is that their branded old fashioned is very expensive. It's because they use a whiskey that is specially made for the hotel. Not saying it's worth it, not saying it's not.
All I will say is choose your perfet sitting down cocktail! Sit down in the comfy seats, take a look at Raleigh and relax. The covered area was perfect because it keeps you out of the sun and you can still look out and see the city. Perfect for a date night or a catch up with your friend.
