In honor of the last presidential debates of 2020, I created two cocktails to represent the nominees. I love to do something with a theme and play with alcohol but you can drink these cocktails any time. I also created a champagne cocktail for election night because even if your candidate doesn't win, you will be winning with champagne!

Let’s start sweet not sour
Watermelon gin gimlet
Ingredients
2 oz Watermelon juice
2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz Simple syrup
Recipe: in a shaker with ice, pour gin, watermelon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake until cold. Pour into a chilled coupe glass.

Now we are a bit bitter
Bourbon old fashioned
Ingredients
2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Campari
1/2 oz Orange liqueur
3 dashes of angostura bitters
1 sugar cube
Garnish: orange slice
Recipe: in a mixing glass, pour bourbon, Campari, and orange liqueur. Stir. In an old fashioned glass, muddle sugar cube, Angostura bitters, and orange slice. Pour from mixing glass and add ice.

Every Campaign needs Champagne
Champagne cocktail
Ingredients
Extra Dry Brut Champagne
2 oz Gin
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz grenadine
Garnish: lemon 🍋 twist
Recipe: in a shaker with ice, pour lemon juice and gin. Shake until cold. Pour into a chilled flute glass. Top with Extra Dry Brut champagne. Then pour on grenadine. Garnish with a lemon twist.
