Knocking on the Bartender's door

A whiskey sour is a great simple cocktail for easy drinking. It's great for when you are just getting into drinking whiskey or want something on the sweet/sour side. When making a whiskey sour, look for a smooth whiskey that doesn't have much bitterness to it because it will be a better balance for the lemon juice (sour).

For this whiskey sour, I used Heaven's Door Double Barrel Aged Whiskey. It's very smooth and easy so it can be used for sipping and also perfect as a balance to the lemon juice and touch of blackberry syrup.

Ingredients

2 oz Heaven’s Door double barrel Whiskey

1 1/2 oz Lemon juice

1 oz Blackberry syrup

1/2 oz Simple syrup

Recipe: in a shaker with ice, pour lemon juice, whiskey, and simple syrup. Shake until cold. Pour in a cocktail glass with ice. Carefully pour blackberry syrup on top.

This cocktail is perfect for when you need something stronger but don't really want to taste whiskey only. Perfect for when you want to introduce yourself or someone to whiskey. And as always goth approved
