Getting Freaky on a Friday

Cherry martini time! I love making cherry vodka (since I can no longer get my OG favorite Cherry Vodka from Absolut). I like to make a simple cherry coke or a more complex cherry forward cocktail. I had a little bit left of my cherry vodka this week so I made myself a little martini.

Ingredients

2 oz Cherry Vodka

3/4 oz Almond Liqueur

1 oz Lime juice

1/4 oz Simple syrup (or none if you don't want it too sweet)

Garnish: Cherries

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour cherry vodka, almond liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup. The simple syrup is an optional choice. I added it because I wanted to make sure that my homemade cherry vodka was nice and sweet. Shake until cold (about twenty seconds). Pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cherry or like me eat some cherries with it! This cocktail is a perfectly sweet treat that you can enjoy with a little fruit or nuts. It's a great cocktail that is simple to make and enjoy. A perfect treat!
