As part of my date night at home, I wanted to share my romantic bourbon date night cocktail that's perfect for chilling at the house and cuddled on the couch. It's a favorite of mine when I want something sweet and also pairs well with cookies and movie night snacks. This elevated take on an old fashioned adds sweetness and is perfect for a little nighttime relaxation.
Bourbon and Chocolate
Bourbon Old Fashioned
Ingredients
2 oz Basil Hayden Bourbon
1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz Orange Juice
4 dashes of Chocolate Bitters
1 Brown Sugar Cube
Garnish: Orange Slice
Recipe: In an old fashioned glass, muddle brown sugar cube with an orange slice. In a mixing glass or open cocktail shaker, pour bourbon, cointreau, orange juice, and chocolate bitters. Stir with a mixing spoon until combined. Place an ice cube or ice in the old fashioned glass. Pour from mixing glass into the glass. Enjoy chilled. Snack Suggestions: Pretzels, Peanuts, Cookies-Anything that mixes Salt and Sweet.
