Hey y'all, it's been way too long. I've been neglecting my cocktails for a while. I moved and that transition to moving and then getting settled had me completely behind the game. I was so behind in creating, planning, and managing content for this blog and for my life. I basically lived without internet for a month and then got so stuck that it took me a second to get back in the swing of things.

Bourbon Old Fashioned
As I get back into being creative and thinking about cocktails, I wanted to share the first cocktail I made at home. This simple old fashioned is using the Maker's Mark I did the bottle dipping for. Kind of special and iconic. And it goes with my year of transition. I'm living in a nicer, larger apartment and changing up my vibes. This is just the start.

Ingredients
Maker's Mark Bourbon
Orange Liqueur
Orange Juice
Sugar Cube
Garnish: Orange Peel
Recipe
In a cocktail mixing glass, pour bourbon, orange liqueur, orange juice. In an old fashioned glass, muddle a sugar cube with an orange slice and dashes of angostura bitters. Add a large ice cube. Mix the ingredients in the mixing glass and pour over the ice cube. Garnish with an orange peel.
