A Martini Moment with Some Strawberries and Lemon

This Friday night, I have a little martini to get me excited about. A little bit of strawberries and lemon makes a perfect sweet treat after a big week. I love this date night or girls night martini. For me this week, this is my girls night treat: I need to gossip and talk about reality tv. This cocktail pairs perfectly and lets me show my skills and ability to make something so freaking pretty.

Sweet and Deadly

Vodka Martini

Ingredients

2 oz Vodka

1 oz Orange Liqueur

Four Strawberry Sliced

1 oz Lemon Juice

1/2 oz Simple Syrup

Garnish: Strawberry

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker, muddle strawberry slices and simple syrup. Add ice. Then pour lemon juice, vodka, and cointreau or orange liqueur. Close and shake until cold to the touch (about ten to fifteen seconds). Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a strawberry.
