Whiskey for Two: A Romantic Connection

There are two types of whiskey people: there are people that like an ice cube and people that don't. Honestly, I can go either way sometimes.

On the Rocks or Up, it's always a good time

Whiskey Cocktails

Ingredients (for one cocktail)

2 oz Whiskey

1 oz All Spice Dram

1 oz Orange Juice

Three dashes of Angostura Bitters

One Brown Sugar Cube

Garnish: Orange Peel and Maraschino Cherry

Sometimes two drinks are better than one! This cocktail duo is a great little pairing. You can make it your own and also enjoy them both. Personally I always prefer orange with my whiskey. I feel like it just adds something extra. Plus I do love the taste of orange.

Recipe for the up: In a cocktail mixing glass, pour bourbon, all spice dram, and orange juice. It's the juice of half an orange. Dash in a couple angostura bitters. Stir quickly. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with an organge peel and maraschino cherries.

Recipe for the rock: In an old fashioned glass, muddle orange slice and brown sugar cube. Dash in angostura bitters. Add an ice cube. In a cocktail mixing glass, pour bourbon, all spice dram, and orange juice. Stir quickly. Strain over the ice cube into the old fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
