Time to Gin and Bear it: A grapefruit and Gin cocktail

This pretty pink gin cocktail is a fun little treat! I love a good bit grapefruit and I think as a cocktail flavor grapefruit can bring out elements that other citrus flavors don't.

Gin Cocktail

When I go classic, I go for pretty. The mix of pink grapefruit and lime juice makes a simple mix to combine with gin. I love that it opens the gin and makes it even more floral.

Ingredients

2 oz Gin

1 oz Grapefruit Juice

1/2 oz Lime Juice

1/2 oz Simple Syrup

Garnish: Lime Wedge

I do love that this cocktail is so citrus forward when it comes to the amount of alcohol. I like that it doesn't overwhelm and doesn't make you drunk after the first drink. You can sip and talk while you drink. You don't have to down it.

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour gin, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Close and shake until cold about fifteen seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

This cocktail is to taste: You can up the grapefruit juice or up the lime. You can make it yours. That's the genius of the simple cocktail.
