Summer Mocktails
This summer season I'm definitely mixing in some mocktails with my cocktails. I love a good mocktail becuase it appeals to a variety of people. This one is refreshing and cool enough that it works for a party or a little afternoon mocktail post work.
Non-alcoholic drinks are all the rage and I wanted to play around with grapefruit and mint to make something that really speaks to my summer vibe: salty and savory.

Easy Peasy: Summer Mocktail
Mocktail
Ingredients
3 oz Grapefruit Soda
6 mint leaves
1 oz Lime juice
Top with sparkling water
Garnish: Mint leaves and lime wedge

Recipe
Muddle mint leaves and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. This cocktail requires a little dry shake. This means no ice in the shaker. Close the shaker and shake for about ten seconds. Strain into a highball glass with ice. Top with grapefruit soda. Stir. Then top with sparkling water. Garnish with mint leaves and a lime wedge.

Pro Tips
If you want a little extra sweetness, muddle a sugar cube with the mint leaves and lime juice. This adds a little sweetness and cuts down the lime juice sour punch.
For me, I love this mocktail as an afternoon delight. It goes really well with a savory snack like a little cheese and crackers or a little salted popcorn.
