Celebrate this! Holiday parties for the goth inside

The Holidays can provide a multitude of things. It can be a time to spend with your loved ones, a time alone, and a time to spend with completely random strangers getting lost in the party. I have a few tips for the holidays that I've found to keep me sane.

The First Tip revolves around Drinking: Drink for You and No One Else

The Holidays can be a lot of fun and a lot of stress. Whether you are drinking or not, it's important to not pressure anyone to drink or feel pressured to drink. It's your holiday. Drink if you want and Drink Responsibly. I know this is lame but it's also incredibly important. It's your Party! You should have fun and enjoy the experience. As a cocktail blogger, I want to remind people that creating cocktails is a creative expression, not an excuse to drink 24/7.

Second Tip Is a Break from The Goth Kind Of: Use Whatever Color You Want

I'm so so tired of people thinking that their decor needs to be traditional. You want a colorful funky tree? Go For it. There's a difference between respecting tradition and doing decor. You should decorate your home for winter in the way that you want. You should dress in a way that makes you happy. Use color to make you smile not frown.

Third Tip: Post Your Content for You

Every year, I bribe my dog to wear a Santa hat for a photo shoot. As a reward she gets a bacon wrapped scallop. While she feels she gets the worst job ever, these photos always make me happy. I'm sure people are tired of these photos every year, do I care? Absolutely not. At the end of the day, I do it because it makes me laugh and she's so cute. I share it because I want to share that happy memory. This year, post what makes you happy. Enjoy your holiday and have fun with it! It's December! Let's put hats on our dogs.
