Orange and Lime Mocktail Vibes

Writer: The GothThe Goth

This mocktail is a change up from my usual cocktail flavors. I wanted to create my own sparkling soda. This one sparkles in more ways than one with a little edible glitter.

She likes Soda

Mocktail

Ingredients

1/2 oz Orange Juice

1 oz Lime Juice

2 to 3 oz Sparkling Water

1/2 teaspoon or a dash of green glitter

Garnish: Lime Wedge

This fun version of a soda is perfect for when you want to make something bubbly but not with alcohol. The tartness of the lime blends beautifully with the sweetness of orange. For this recipe (and most of my orange recipes) I used a navel orange. I love Navel Oranges because they give a sweet flavor and a bright color but they don't overwhelm. You aren't smothered with sweetness which can happen if you use a blood orange. This mocktail especially needs the citrus flavors to work together not fight them.

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour orange juice, lime juice, and green glitter. Give it a nice shake (about ten to fifteen seconds. Strain into a highball glass with ice. Top with sparkling water or club soda. Garnish with a lime wedge.
