It's a little Spicy but Still Sweet

This Raspberry and jalapeño spritz is a great spicy vibe for a Monday Mocktail. The balance of spice and fruit with a hint of citrus helps to create a fun vibe and an easy to drink mocktail.

A Hint of Spice

Mocktail

Ingredients

Four Jalapeño slices (or to taste-know yourself)

Six Raspberries

1 oz Simple Syrup

Top with lemon sparkling water

Garnish: Raspberries and Jalapeño Slice

Jalapeños: my tip for this is that if you cut the jalapeño and you can smell it strongly, it will be a spicy one. Don't overdo it and kill you sinuses (unless you really need it).

PRO Tip: Why the Lemon Sparkling Water? The touch of lemon is great to balance the sweetness and spice? Consider it a neutralizing source.

Don't have Lemon Sparkling Water? Add a squeeze of lemon into the cocktail shaker before you shake. Or if you don't have any lemons, you can use lime juice. You basically want lemon or lime. You want the citrus to balance and not overwhelm.

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker, muddle jalapeño slices and simple syrup. Add raspberries and muddle again. Add ice then dash of yellow glitter. Close and shake for ten seconds. Double strain into a double old fashioned glass with ice. Top with lemon sparkling water.
